I had the recent privilege to show my personal Project off to the creatives of the north east of England Newcastle. Hobbyist graduates and professionals get together to show of client work or personal work, get feedback if they want it and take questions relating to the showing. The response was heart warming and has gave me the drive to get to more events like these.
Being an artist sometimes these social events can be daunting, all the thoughts of "they might not like my work" "what if no one is interested" all flash in our heads. However we just need to get out there an be strong. Not arrogant but strong minded and enjoy the feedback we receive. We are our own worst critique.
So moral of the story hear is get out there, no one will see your work if you don't show it off. Even the pieces you think are bad just show it, 9-10 times people will see the route you where taken on what we deem as a failed piece.
Here are some photos curtsy of @mdhammondphotos of the show and tell I was apart of recently at #aNEmates. Was a brilliant experience and looking forward to doing more like it.
Talking about how rocks are awesome to paint!
Showing my initial sketching to those interested.

The talk its self! Action shot!
Just me listening to James founder of Arcus Studio introduce the show and tell.
